This machine I designed and built was essentially two coil stretching machines in one, a lefty and a righty. It was specifically designed to take advantage of operator downtime. Instead of the operator being idle while waiting for the automatic machine cycle to complete, they would be busy working the mirrored stretching portion of the machine, then they would switch back.

In addtiion to the labor saving aspects of the machine, it was also designed to be a flexible manufacturing cell. It could easily be reconfigured to stretch very small diameter coils ranging from 0.010 - 0.014" in and 1 - 12" in length.
